From the history of this building: As grand as the Reese-Peters house is, there is a smaller and equally charming home behind it built by Jacob Saylor. The house is a 1790s design and one of the earliest brick homes remaining in the county. Now known as the “Saylor House” it includes hand-blown window panes and a primitive fireplace. In 1834 the Saylor home was purchased by William Reese.
